Ladies, (and gents) if you’re looking for a barn venue to get married in, look no further!
The Barn at Water Oaks is an absolutely breathtaking venue located in Laurel Hill, FL, just outside of Pensacola. We had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful wedding there one year ago, and just recently, a styled shoot.
This venue has so many wonderful features, but one of my favorites is the “Bride” room. It has this delicate, whimsical feel, which went beautifully with the ballgown with rose gold beading. I knew we had to get a shot of that dress in that room… they just complimented each other so well! The front and back barn doors we definitely used to our advantage, and the more fitted lace gown paired with a cathedral veil was the icing on the cake for those shots.
Speaking of cake, BonneVie Specialty did it again with providing a stunning wedding cake with hues of pink and painted gold. April’s cakes are delicious, by the way! She also paired with us for our last styled shoot with a simple, yet lovely, vanilla cake…and boy was it DE-LI-CIOUS! I’m not a big vanilla person, but that cake was perfectly moist and oh so flavorful! (She let us take some home, and the boys and I easily devoured our share!)
The Bridal Suite has a wonderful selection of dresses, as you can tell! The ballgown was kind of ivory in color, and had rose gold beading, and was paired with a veil that also had rose gold beading. The two went together perfectly! The more form fitted dress was all lace, and the cathedral veil was the perfect touch! It was all just…perfect!
Kendra, a talented MUA, did a beautiful, soft look on Jess. You know when you think you do your makeup really well and then you see the work of a MUA and then you’re like, well, my makeup’s crap? Yep, that’s Kendra! They’re not called Makeup Artists for nothing!
The arbor and cake table were decorated with flowers that were subtle in their blush color, and the eucalyptus gave it that whimsical garden feel.
It truly was a wonderful experience to be able to collab with every single one of these vendors, and to be able to work at such an astounding venue. We can’t wait to have the opportunity to work with everyone again!
