Lee House, a beautiful historic venue in Downtown Pensacola, is quickly becoming one of my favorite sweet spots in the city. This being our second wedding there, we were excited to be back and for the day to unfold with wedding day festivities!
Elizabeth was getting hair and makeup done upon our arrival, her bridesmaids surrounding her. Getting all dolled up and then slipping into your wedding gown is a special thing to share with your girlfriends! Her dress had a whimsical feel to it with tull taking over the lower half of the gown, and lace up top. She told me that she actually had the sleeves added, which to me made it look even more elegant! And of course, she looked beautiful!
While we were commenting on how gorgeous her flowers were, she proceeded to tell us that her and Jon wanted and English garden wedding, which was pulled off beautifully! White roses were draped around the arbor with such elegance, and her bouquet a gorgeous bundle of the same roses. White flowers and greenery were laid down the center of the tables as well. She also told us that her dad hand made the arbor and the cupcake stand! How cool is that?! They both accented the English garden theme perfectly!
I've discovered that I love being down the center of the isle while the bride and groom are saying their I do's. There's something magical about capturing the love continually unfolding between two people vowing to spend the rest of their lives together! Liz and Jon were no exception!
After the ceremony, we hopped aboard a golf cart (courtesy of Gopher Carts) and headed a little further downtown to Maritime Park to capture some sunset photos of the newlywed couple. That golf cart ride was a fun one, too! I even took a selfie with the driver at the end!
When we came back to Lee House it was party time! The reception was full of laughter and dancing to your heart’s desire! There were, of course, toasts, and her sister (who was also her Matron-of-Honor) made a speech that made me tear up behind the lens! On the dance floor, I caught a glimpse of Liz and Jon, her parents and his parents all swaying gently near each other. Was a pretty sweet sight, actually.
Liz and Jon were nothing short of amazing. They were so easy to get along with, and so comfortable with each other around us. They trusted us completely and let us do our job, which made it all that much easier! They were so fun, silly, and sweet on each other that it had me overwhelmed with giddiness and constantly commenting on how adorable they were throughout the entire day. They were seriously the cutest! If you don’t believe me, just look at the photos!
